The park office is open 8 a. Saturday through Thursday. The office is open from 8 a. The office may be closed when staff are not available. Boat rentals are open from 9 a.
Rentals will be cancelled due to inclement weather or lack of staff. Rentals are processed through the park office up until 3 p. No trolling motor rentals are available. The Acorn Camping Loop is open for the season. Cabins are available for rental year round. Reminder: linens are not provided. It's the perfect getaway for the outdoor enthusiast. Activities center on the acre lake with a boat launch, fishing pier, boat rentals and a swimming beach.
Other attractions include a meeting facility, cabins, camping, picnicking, an archery range and playgrounds. Guests also enjoy the park's trails and access to the adjoining 16,acre Cumberland State Forest, including the mile Cumberland Multi-use Trail, which is available for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Note : Wi-Fi is available year-round in the campground and also available by the cabin area's maintenance building, which has ample parking next to it.

Reservations are highly recommended. During prime season, a day of beach swimming per night's stay is free to overnight guests. Visit a photo collection of Bear Creek Lake's overnight accommodations. Cabins Lodges Bunkhouse Camping. Between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, all cabins and the lodge are rented for a six-night minimum, beginning on a specified start date that varies by cabin.
The six-night requirement is reduced to a required four-night stay three months out and dropped to two nights in the last month before arrival. A two-night minimum stay is required for the rest of the year.
Cabins and the lodge are open year-round and may be reserved up to 11 months in advance. Extra beds are unavailable for these dwellings. This three-bedroom cabin is universally accessible. The park rents a bunkhouse that is next to the group campsite and near Chestnut Loop. The bunkhouse is not a full-service lodge. It has two rooms and seven bunk beds, a refrigerator, a microwave oven, a coffee pot, and heating and air conditioning. The bunkhouse also has a charcoal grill and deck outside. Cooking and smoking are prohibited inside the bunkhouse. Five vehicles are permitted with the rental of the bunkhouse; the daily parking fee must be paid for additional vehicles.
This facility becomes available in January each year; unlike most overnight facilities, it is not sold 11 months in advance. Check-in is 4 p. Late arrivals should call the park beforehand for directions and the entry code.
The transfer deadline and cancellation and pet fees are the same as those for cabins, but there is no week stay requirement; there is a two-night minimum. Please note : The bunkhouse is not Bear Creek Lodge. The bunkhouse is next to the park's group campsite.

No hookups. Gravel parking area; tent pads and natural surface for setting up a tent. The park rents a group campsite that has no hookups and is for tents only. It's near Chestnut Loop and next to the bunkhouse. The site accommodates up to 36 and is near a restroom.
It has six picnic tables, a large pedestal grill and a stone fire pit surrounded by three benches. All equipment must be set up on gravel-covered areas.
The campsite is available April 1 through Oct. Group campsite guests use restrooms in nearby Chestnut Loop and Acorn Loop about yards away. There is a non-refundable transaction fee plus a cancellation fee when reservations for this site are canceled.
The fee to cancel any group site that accommodates more than six people is greater than that for single campsites. All trails within the park allow only hiking. The park also provides access to the Willis River Trail, a mile-long trail winding through Cumberland State Forest. Also, the Those interested in riding horses or mountain bikes in the Cumberland State Forest must obtain a State Forest Use Permit; call or visit the state forest department's website for details.
Between the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, guarded beach swimming is available for a fee. Weather and other issues may, at times, force the suspension of guarded swimming. Swimming elsewhere in the park is prohibited. The swimming beach has restrooms and Lakeside Snack Bar, which offers sandwiches, snacks and drinks. There's seating on a deck there. Click here for park fees. A acre lake supports largemouth bass, crappie, bream and channel catfish.
Those with a canoe or small boat can enjoy fishing there. Two canoe launches with access to the river are in Cumberland State Forest. A boat ramp at Bear Creek Lake is available for non-gasoline-powered boats. The park also has a universally accessible fishing pier. Boat rentals are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Shoulder season rentals are offered on weekends only from May 1 through Columbus Day weekend. Parental supervision is required for all rentals.
Canoes, rowboats, trolling motors, paddleboats, paddleboards and kayaks are for rent. Call the park for prices.
